Why am the luckiest you ask?
I know what is true love!
Many of us go through life confused about what real love is….
We forget that love is progressive, not a destination resort.
True love begins in Jesus Christ and then extends out to others as“Charity (Love) suffereth long, it is kind, it envieth not, is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, bearth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things”. Moroni 7:45
Today, I would like to say how lucky I am to be filled with TRUE love for my Friend and Eternal companion, my HUSBAND! I could go on and on and describe all of his awesome features (except when he leaves the toilet seat up) and what makes him so special to me, but that might embarrass him.
I am the luckiest to be his wife…..
Through trials, tears, diapers, disappointments, discoveries, deaths, diplomas, achievements, honors, hormones, houses, honey-do’s, sports, road trips, rage, repentance, forgiveness, understanding, joy, frustrations and all the other past participial phrases describing our nouns together. There are not many past participle verbs of perfect tenses in the active voice and of all tenses in the passive voice that don’t apply to what we have built and continue to build together. The best english grammar that applies to our happy (less than perfect) 26 years of marriage is the verb form of love better known as charity.
Thank you for all you have done in our family to provide, preside, be true to the faith and priesthood, but especially for loving me even though I AM imperfect. I LOVE YOU!!!
